Darlini Singh Kaul

Darlini Singh Kaul is a performer, songwriter, musician and vocalist. Half French half Indian and born in London, Darlini’s multi-cultural up bringing has developed her love for World Music and for the fusion of cultures. From an early age Darlini received an in depth and interdisciplinary artistic education and has studied music, theatre and dance. She has experimented with a diversity of musical styles and draws an eclectic collection of sounds and songs. Her deep affection for visual and musical poetry has led her to weave her way around the world to perform and share her passion in hope to take others on a journey of their own. “Music is a passport and singing is a language of the soul.”

Since 2013 Darlini is at the heart of two bands Farafi, Afro beat, co created with Joy Tyson and The Blue Infinity experimental Indo-Russian Collective. Darlini endeavours to share her knowledge in live performances but she also teaches vocal classes and leads workshops in which non-professionals can experience their own voice as an instrument within their unique poetic expression. She likes to create a safe platform where people can find their individual signature within the parameters of a co-creative group. Her intention is to empower people with a creative tool of self expression and communication.
